Q: What dates/times is this course?

A: It’s a hybrid course, with a mixture of self-paced videos and live online group coaching.

- Videos and exercises are self-paced, with continuous access during the lifetime of the course.

- The group coaching is online bi-weekly on Wednesdays at 10 am ET.*  3 months are included, along with 3 months of access to an online community where you can post exercises and ask questions!  At the end of the 3 months you will be given an option to sign up for continuing access for an additional fee.

Q: What kind of exercises are included?

A: A combination of written worksheets to help you learn musical notation and concepts, piano exercises to get you comfortable with the keyboard, and creative assignments including writing short musical pieces. We’ll also be working throughout the course on your own AABA form song, and by the end you should be able to complete a full lead sheet for this song!

Q: I don’t own a piano or keyboard! Do I need to get a big fancy keyboard for this course?

A: You should get one! It’s going to be super useful. But you don’t need an expensive one. Anything over 24 keys is fine.

Q: I’m still learning about writing lyrics. Do I need to be solid with lyric writing before taking this class?

A: This class will largely focus on the musical side of things, but will include some guidance on lyric writing as well, to help you complete your AABA song!
